For many years, while working on Wall Street and with large institutional clients, David Meyers also provided personal financial advice to individuals. In 2008, Mr. Meyers moved on from the large institutional business and established Meyers Wealth Management, dedicated to the proposition that everyone, rich or poor, can achieve his or her financial goals. The individual - people and families - can and should get the best and most unbiased advice possible and be able to get that advice and wealth management from someone who honestly puts the client's best interests first.
Mr. Meyers started at Salomon Brothers in New York in 1993 and spent several years modeling complex structured fixed income products, particularly focusing on mortgage-backed securities and the prepayment models. Since then, he's had various roles at a hedge fund and two institutional money management firms modeling securities and portfolios and focusing especially on risk management and quantitative measurement of security and portfolio performance.
He's been managing portfolios for individuals and small businesses and advising individuals in everything from home purchase affordability and debt management to retirement savings, payout plans, tax management, estate planning and even just how to manage everyday cash.
Mr. Meyers has been volunteer providing tax assistance for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance/Tax Counseling for the Elderly (VITA/TCE) program in Arlington, MA.
Mr. Meyers has a BS in Applied Physics from Emory University and a MS in Applied Mathematics from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
